FAQs

Why choose Eterling ?
At Eterling, our mission is to blend traditional fine jewelry with modern, bespoke designs, featuring intricate handmade engravings that are perfect for everyday wear.
Our collections mix cultures, styles, and materials, crafted from the finest materials, yet priced affordably to spread joy to as many people as possible. We believe that luxury shouldn’t mean overpriced pieces inflated by extra mark-ups and branding costs. As a direct-to-consumer brand, we offer the most competitive and fair pricing by cutting out the middleman, eliminating expensive retail margins. Without costly inventory or branding fees, our prices reflect the current market value of precious stones and metals, tailored to your preferences and budget.
We use only carefully selected gemstones and metals from reputable and ethical sources, ensuring that the joy of wearing our pieces goes beyond their beauty. In 2019, we proudly launched our first collection of ethical diamond rings, and we continue to expand this collection with passion and commitment.

Which carat of gold should you buy ?
The carat grading of gold refers to the percentage of pure gold in the alloy, with 9ct being 37.5%, 14ct being 58.5% and 18ct 75% pure gold. Alloying is needed, since pure gold is too soft and malleable. By adding other metals it will be harder, and we are able to produce different coloured raw materials too. The different alloy mixes affect the colour, hardness and durability of the piece, which should be taken into account when deciding which alloy to choose. Different alloys are better suited to different pieces and our team of jewellers can answer any questions you may have regarding this, or you can read more HERE.

What are the most important things to know about diamonds?
Diamond is the hardest precious stone, it keeps its original beauty for hundreds of years, that makes it the symbolical stone of engagement jewelry.
The quality and value of a diamond is determined by 4 important decisive factors (the famous 4C :-)
- Cut: quality and size of its cutting,
- Degree of its Clarity (the inclusion is a small, unique formation in the precious stone’s structure.)
- Its Colour, or colourlessness,
- Carat: its size, which is its only exact attribute.

What other precious stones can be used, as an alternative to diamonds?
There are many possibilities.
When considering the fact that most women wear their ring every day, the gemstone’s hardness and strength is vital. The harder it is, the longer it will serve as a beautiful decoration.

How do I find my ring size?
We always recommend that our customers are professionally sized by a local jeweller where possible, as it’s the safest method. Be sure that you are given a precise size, mentioning the scale, as European, US, UK sizing are different. Please consult our SIZING GUIDE prior to ordering to ensure your order correctly.
